This consortium made up of 24 founding members, of which Love & Green is a part, offers a display tool which makes it possible to assess the environmental and societal impact of each product. Graded from A to E and evaluating more than 50 criteria, this tool allows consumers to choose their products with complete transparency.

As founding member and member of the board of directors of the association responsible for the Green Impact Index (GII), Love & Green actively participates in the continuous improvement of the method for evaluating the impact of care products. This position reflects its historic commitment to transparency, healthy formulation, and eco-design.

How are products rated?

To offer a complete vision of the impact of a product, 52 quantifiable criteria are taken into account in the case of cosmetics. These criteria are not limited to the environment: they also include a societal dimension, in order to offer a global, fair and transparent evaluation.

Each product is thus analyzed throughout its life cycle :

  • Raw materials used (naturalness, certification, country of origin, etc.)

  • Packaging
  • Choice and practices of suppliers (energy, waste, etc.)

  • Impact of transportation

  • Conditions of use

  • Animal welfare
  • End of life management (recycling, biodegradability, etc.)

This level of detail allows the true footprint of the product to be accurately reflected, from design to disposal.
